LIVCMLong Island Vintage Computer Museum
Learning through real machines

Discover how computers work.

We are developing hands-on learning opportunities for high school STEM students and curious learners interested in electronics, engineering, and computer science.

Start with the fundamentals

Vintage computers offer an approachable way to explore binary and hexadecimal numbers, digital logic, memory, processors, and machine language. Their visible hardware connects abstract ideas to real circuits.

Diagnose, repair, and program

Our plans include guided troubleshooting, programming activities, and opportunities to learn how working computers are preserved. Activities will be matched to participants’ experience and the equipment available.

Help shape the program

Programs, schedules, and participation arrangements are still being developed. Teachers, students, and potential mentors can contact [email protected]. If you would like to help develop activities, explore volunteering.
